All Saint’s Day
Remembering those who have gone before us
Prayer for All Saints' Day
Here’s a traditional prayer you might use on All Saints' Day:
Prayer to All Saints
Almighty ever-living God,
by whose gift we venerate in one celebration
the merits of all the Saints,
bestow on us, we pray,
through the prayers of so many intercessors,
an abundance of the reconciliation with You
for which we earnestly long.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
Personal Prayer You Can Use:
Dear God,
Thank You for the lives of the saints — those known to the world and those known only to You.
May their examples inspire me to live a life of faith, love, and holiness.
Help me walk in their footsteps and grow closer to You each day.
Through their intercession, may I find strength in times of struggle and hope in times of sorrow.
Amen.

YOUNG ADULTS SUMMER RETREAT
Discovering strength in what sets us apart
In a world that often highlights our differences, what if we came together to celebrate them?
Unity in Diversity is more than just a lunch - it’s a space for open minds, real conversations, and meaningful connection. Hosted by Reverend Lorraine at her home in Arana Hills, this event invites young adults aged 18-30 to enjoy a relaxed, welcoming afternoon by the pool, surrounded by people who value authenticity, inclusion, and purpose.
🎯 Theme: Discovering strength in what sets us apart. Whether you’re looking to build community, explore new ideas, or simply connect with others in a real and refreshing way - this is your space.
All are welcome.
RSVP : Rev’d Lorraine for venue details & to join the conversation via our Instagram Chat
Newcomers "Welcome morning tea"
We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Newcomers Morning Tea - a special opportunity to welcome new faces, foster connection, and get to know our church family.
This event isn’t just for those who are new to our parish, but for everyone who values community and hospitality. We warmly encourage you to invite a friend, neighbour, or relative – and a very big invite to those with young children who may feel uncomfortable bringing their children. You are definitely welcome here. Many of us have expressed how lovely it would be to see more young families within our congregation, and this is a wonderful chance to extend a personal invitation and help them feel at home.
Children are most welcome, and we’ll have a relaxed and friendly environment for all ages to enjoy.
Join us for a lovely morning of tea, treats, and conversation. Together, we can continue building a church community that is vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming to all generations. In a world that has never been more connected online, so many people are still feeling deeply disconnected in real life. Loneliness, especially among young families, new parents, and those going through life transitions, is more common than we realise. But as a church family, we can be part of the solution.
Parish Dinner
We welcome Reverend Lorraine and her family together with our Parish and Community Groups to a Pot Luck Dinner.
Saturday 21 June at 6.00pm in the Hall
Let's have coffee
A chance to meet with others over a coffee and pancakes occurs on the First Tuesday of every month at the Crepe Café, Aspley. The next gathering is on Tuesday 3 June at 10.00am. Bp Jonathan will be there, and you are warmly invited to come along and enjoy a morning tea/coffee and a pancake if you like, and others’ company.
Reconciliation Week Service
This Tuesday 27 May the annual diocesan National Reconciliation Week service will be held at St John’s Church, Wardell St, Enoggera at 7.00pm. The guest speaker is Isaiah Banu, a Torres Strait Islander lawyer. This is an important way in which Anglicans can show their support for the work of reconciliation. National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 may to 3 June.

Good Friday Worship
9:00am Worship
Good Friday is a Christian holy day that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It takes place on the Friday before Easter Sunday. Join us for readings and prayers around the cross.
Maundy Thursday
The Maundy Thursday eucharist includes foot washing and is followed by a silent vigil until midnight. People are invited to stay and keep vigil, if they are able.
At the Last Supper, Jesus commanded that people should love one another, he then washed the feet of his disciples as an act of kindness.
Palm Sunday
8:30am Family Worship with Holy Communion
What is Palm Sunday and why do we celebrate it?
Palm Sunday recalls an event in the Christian Scripture (The New Testament) of Jesus entering into Jerusalem and being greeted by the people waving palm branches. For Christians, it is a reminder of the welcoming of Jesus into our hearts and of our willingness to follow him.
Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday 5 March 2025
Eucharist with Ashing 9.00am and 6.00pm
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. It is a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday, through which we attain redemption.

Northern Region Lay Retreat
Peace that the world cannot give
Kath writes about the focus of the retreat.
Our world is crying out for peace. We see distress in many lives, in nations, in the planet itself. Yet human hearts, even when broken and despairing, have the capacity for love that heals and peace that is beyond understanding.
During this retreat we will explore our own capacity for peace and peacemaking through stillness, reflections, and the beauty of creation.
The disciples asked Jesus: “Where do you dwell” and he replied “Come and see!”.
There will be Christian Meditation daily & Morning and Evening Prayer on Saturday. There will be opportunity for individual spiritual direction if desired. Since Fr Nicholas Whereat has now retired, this year we will be welcoming Fr Ray Clifton as our new retreat priest.
