Since 1940, Taizé, a small village in France, has been the home of an ecumenical community of brothers whose prayer, three times a day, is at the centre of their life.
The prayer is meditative and characterized by song and silence, and there is a beauty and a simplicity to the worship.
Each service provides a Sacred Prayer Space with candlelight, meditative songs both instrumental and sung, reflection on brief scripture readings and silence. Taizé is a gentle way to join in communal worship.
Our Taizé services are currently in recess because of COVID 19.
Taize’ services are normally held in Sacred Space, the small chapel at the left hand side of the main church building.
All are most welcome.
